党的十四届四中全会决议指出,坚持标准,保证质量、搞好体制,谨慎发展,不断地充实党的新鲜血液。加强生产第一线发展党员的工作,重视培养和发展青年和妇女中的优秀分子入党。党员是党的基础,是党组织的细胞。在改革、开放、社会主义现代化建设的新的历史时期,在增强党的建设工作中,必须抓好“入党关”。
The Fourth Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China pointed out: Adhere to the standards, ensure the quality, improve the system, develop cautiously, and constantly enrich the party’s fresh blood. We will step up the work of developing Party members in the front line of production and attach importance to cultivating and developing outstanding members of the youth and women in joining the party. Party members are the foundation of the party and the cells of the party organization. In the new historical period of reform, opening up and socialist modernization, we must do a good job of “joining the party” in strengthening party building.
