自2004年成立以来,现在画廊在12年的时间里已举办了近90场展览。2008年从北京工人体育场迁址草场地艺术区后,画廊的影响力更是随着空间的升级而水涨船高。作为画廊主,黄燎原不仅将自己个性化的艺术趣味和他对摇滚乐与文学的激情相融一炉,还固执地要带着他的艺术家慢悠前行。这在为数不多有国际影响力的中国当代艺术画廊里,或许也是孤例。黄燎原如何选择艺术家?他又怎样看待画廊、美术馆、博览会之间的关系?这些都是我们在访谈中感兴趣的问题。
Since its establishment in 2004, the gallery has now held nearly 90 exhibitions in 12 years. After relocating the art park in Beijing from the Workers Stadium in 2008, the influence of the gallery has risen even further with the escalation of space. As a gallery owner, Huang Liaoyuan not only combines his personal artistic interest with his passion for rock music and literature, but also stubbornly takes his artist to his feet. This is perhaps one of the few examples of contemporary Chinese art galleries with international influence. How does Huang Liaoyuan choose an artist? How does he treat the relationship between galleries, art galleries, and fairs? These are questions of interest to us during our interviews.
