朝鲜战争后期,美国为了挽救战场上的失败命运,不顾国际公约,对中朝部队使用了细菌弹,并于1952年初开始,对中国东北、青岛等地区投掷细菌弹。市南区作为青岛的中心城区,首当其冲。据《人民日报》记载,“三月六日二十一时,美国飞机一架侵入我青岛市郊太平角、浮山所、大麦岛、沙子口一带上空,撒布细菌毒虫,敌机过后,青岛市东郊太平角及沙子口等地居民发现大批突然出现的苍蝇、蜘蛛和小甲盖虫、蚂蚱、土蜂、蚂蚁等毒虫。”据统计,1952年3月6日至3月28
