凹模在工作过程中,由于磨损使工作间隙加大,以致报废。为了延长模具使用寿命,节约优质钢材,我们采用了下述方法可使磨损的凹模复活。首先把磨损的凹模加热到低于相变点(A_(C1))以下30~50℃的温度保温一定时间(箱式电炉以2分钟/毫米计算)后,立即在硝盐或水中冷却。由于热应力的作用,使模口尺寸缩小。这样反复几次即可达到要求。淬火前应进行退火,以消除应力,防止淬火开裂。
