Under the current circumstances, should China not implement the film and television classification system? A few years ago, the topic raised again appeared in the national “two sessions”, the CPPCC members in the literary and arts circles once again shouted the establishment of mainland China’s film classification system . The film classification system is based on the mass and frequent occurrence of violent, bloody, narcotic and sexually explicit contents in modern movie screens, which lead to a series of social problems. Faced with this phenomenon, many countries and regions have formulated relevant film law and film classification system. Although the cinema classification systems around the world are different, one thing in common is that “protecting young people from pollution and increasing the freedom of choice of adults”. It is precisely for this reason that we publish the following two articles in the hope that we can initiate discussions on the current situation in mainland China that should not be implemented in the film classification system.
