In the autumn of 1955, the authors had the opportunity to participate in the chrome ore working group organized by the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences and worked for more than a month in the vicinity of Sancha and Bajing Temple in Qilian County. At that time, the leader of the working group, Professor Li Pu, instructed the author to pay attention to the volcanic rocks in the Nanshan system and write a report.
