According to news released on the website of Commission for discipline inspection of Hunan province on May 13th， Ma Yong， Deputy Secretary General of Hunan province is investigated over serious discipline offences.
Born in Jan， 1957， Ma Yong was from Chongqing Baxian. He graduated from Hunan Agricultural College and then had been worked in statistical bureau of Hunan province for over 20 years. From Jun 2001， he worked as director of the bureau of Hunan Province. After Sep 2006， he left provincial capital and went to Yiyang City， and worked as acting mayor and then mayor. After Mar 2008， he was promoted as municipal party secretary of Yiyang. Until Apr 2013， he returned to Changsha to acted as deputy secretary general of Hunan province.
During his presidency in Yiyang， he made a number of “innovations” which attracted outside world’s eyes. In Mar 2011， his mobile phone number was published by Hunan Yiyang City for receiving discipline problems report. In Oct 2011， he was reappointed as municipal party secretary of Hunan Yiyang and opened his family income at press conference.
Compared to his “open-minded” images showed on public report. He has another side in the minds of local officials. One Yiyang official disclosed that Ma Yong involves in low-cost transfer of state-owned land employment right and management monopoly resulted from handling sand market.
