根据《中国标准化协会和德意志标准学会(DIN)一九八○年度合作议定书》,DIN 委派道依茨公司(KHD)研究发展部主任鲍尔·托伦(Paul Tholen)先生于10月7日～26日来华进行技术交流,在北京和上海分别作了重型载重汽车用增压发动机和道依茨风冷柴油机的现状及发展趋势的报告.技术座谈会在上海举行.中国方面参加的有中国标准化协会、农机部科技局、上海标准计量局、中国农机科学研究院、上海内燃机研究所、洛阳拖拉机研究所、天津内燃机研究所和第一、五、六机部、铁道部等有关工厂从事内燃机标准的专业人员二十多人.座谈会上,鲍尔·托伦先生介绍了DIN 组织机构情况和DIN6270、70020、6280、ISO1585、3046、ECE-R24以及西德向ISO 提出的最新建议标准;西德对车用、工程机械用内燃机废气排放、烟度、噪声的控制指标和测试方法;道依茨公司对内燃机四种标定功率的规定及其相互间的关系,发展柴油机新产品的市场预测、设计考虑和研制过程中5×600小时台架考核、特种模拟试验以及产品的快速磨合验收试验;还详细介绍了内燃机安装使用中的许多技术问题,特别是风冷柴油机的进排气系统等等.
