在联合圆举行的1975年墨西哥第一届世界妇女大会、1980年哥本哈根第二届世界妇女大会、1985年内罗毕第三届世界妇女大会、1995年北京第四届世界妇女大会中,都明确提出了反对家庭暴力,从1980年开始联合国一步步地认定了这个问题。联合国在有关妇女就业等问题的12个切实领域中,反对家庭暴力被列在第四位。前4位的顺序是:扶贫、教育、保健、反家庭暴力。1993l年联合国发表《消除对妇女的暴力行动宣言》1999年11月5日联国大会通过决议,将每年11月25日定为“反家庭暴力日”。
The first World Conference on Women in Mexico in 1975, the Second World Conference on Women in Copenhagen in 1980, the Third World Conference on Women in Nairobi in 1985 and the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995 all clearly proposed Opposing domestic violence, the United Nations has identified this issue step by step since 1980. In the 12 practical areas where the United Nations is concerned with women’s employment, opposition to domestic violence ranks fourth. The order of the top 4 is: poverty alleviation, education, health care, anti-domestic violence. United Nations Declaration 1993 on the Eradication of Violence against Women On November 5, 1999, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution setting November 25 as the “Day Against Domestic Violence.”
