Pascal Hausermann is one of the few European architects to start the development of building modular systems first, and to emphasize the free play of architecture as a personality. In 1962 he obtained a degree in architecture from the University of Geneva. In 1956, before graduation, he designed a unit cell. At the beginning, he considered building wood, but later instead used a formwork to cast the concrete directly on the metal grid. This unit cell is the basic unit of a modular building. It is a living body through the free combination of aggregation, connection, accumulation, and other elements. Hauserman and his friend and partner Shang Nei (in the words of Michelle Lagon, “the founder of the industrialized bubble”) together with Antiu Lovogg who worked together in the cell residential project , using morphology from the late fifties
