In general, imported equipment has advanced technology and stable performance. However, the technical data is in foreign languages and it is not easy to read. The supply of spare parts is lacking and maintenance is difficult. Take the IBM4381 computer (worth more than US$1.2 million) introduced in our hospital in 1987 as an example.
