广东省1996年深入开展了打击毒品犯罪的斗争,特别是毒品问题比较严重的地区,更是加大了查缉打击力度,取得了显著成效。上半年全省共破获贩毒案件1 715宗,缴获海洛因964公斤、“冰”毒34.2公斤,同时还会同云南省公安机关联手侦破了境外毒贩向广东贩运的10公斤以上的海洛因大案7宗。通过不断的打击和公开的缉毒宣传,群众主动举报线索积极支持缉毒工作增多了,使缉毒工作的深入开展有了一个良好开端。落实专门力量,对贩毒线索一抓到底针对广东省缉毒工作机构不健全,办案力量普遍不足,缉毒办案工作滞后,打击不力的情况,1996年初,省公安厅在刑侦局设立了缉毒处,加强了对全省缉毒工作的组织和协调指导。部分市和重点县(市)也相继成立了专门工作机构,通过内部调整,增配缉毒办案的专门力量,从而初步建立了一个有利于主动进
