著名物理学家诺贝尔奖获得者、北京市首席科学与艺术顾问李政道教授潜心致力于探讨科学与艺术的沟通与交融。在1986年创办了中国高等科学技术中心。中心组织的每一次重大国际学术研讨会主题画都是在李政道博士的科学启发下邀请著名艺术大师创作完成的。李政道博士认为,这些画卷“绝非仅为追求一种用绘画手段描绘科学特点领域的表面形式,而是探求在一个更深奥的意境中进行科学和艺术间的对话”。
Professor Li Zhengdao, a famous physicist and Nobel laureate in Beijing, and chief consultant for science and art in Beijing, devoted himself to discussing the communication and blending of science and art. In 1986, he founded China Advanced Science and Technology Center. Each major theme of the international academic symposium organized by the center draws upon the invitation of a famous master of arts under the inspiration of Dr. Li Zhengdao’s science. Dr. Li Zhengdao believes that these pictures “are by no means the pursuit of a superficial form of depicting the field of science by means of painting, but of pursuing a dialogue between science and art in a more profound mood.”
