随州市现有职业初中8所,在校生近万人,中等职业学校25所,在校生3万余人。近年来,我市认真贯彻落实全国、全省职业教育工作会议精神,把职业教育作为推动经济发展的原动力,作为振兴地方经济新的增长点,坚持走内涵发展的道路,积极深化职教改革,使全市职教得到长足发展,不仅推动了全市教育事业的健康发展,而且强化了教育服务经济建设的功能,为全面建设小康社会做出了积极贡献。
