穆湘玥,字藕初,1876年生于上海,是本世纪二、三十年代我国著名的爱国实业家。早年毛泽东曾在二篇文章中举穆藕初为“新兴商人派”的代表人物。1943年9月19日穆先生镉逝干重庆,终年67岁。董必盛在给其家属的唁函中称:“先生当国势艰屯之会,开工业发展之基,斩棘披荆,费省利溥;至于宅心公正,执事勤劳,以俭约持躬.以和平处世,允宜力国人矜式。”并送挽联:“才是万人英,在抗战困难中,多所发明,自出机杼;功宜百代祀,于举世混浊日,独留清白,堪作楷模。”
Mu Xiangyue, word lotus early, was born in Shanghai in 1876, is the famous patriotic industrialist in China in the 1920s and 1930s. In his early years, Mao Tse-tung once mentioned Mu Ouchu as the representative of “Emerging Merchants” in two articles. September 19, 1943 Mr. Mu Caddy died in Chongqing, aged 67 years.
