法国著名启蒙主义教育家卢梭指出:“对儿童进行教育,必须遵循自然的要求,顺应人的自然的本性,反对成人不顾儿童特点,按照传统与偏见强制儿童接受违反自然的所谓教育,干涉或限制儿童的自由发展。”这给小学英语教学的启示是:尊重儿童天性,立足儿童视角来组织教育教学活动,让学生自由而愉悦地发展。另外,由小学英语课程标准看,要求教师关注学生心理、生理特点以及发展需求,注重激发与培养学生对英语的学习兴趣与积极的情感态度。
