持久强度的重要性:我国一般的工业大学或学院,在钢结构方面,已于1955年根据新规范讲授,钢筋混凝土是在1956年采用极限状态理论,而术结构现时仍主要介绍容许应力法。同时在设计单位,木结构采用新规范也一定要迟些,其其原因为钢和钢筋混凝土的成份和规格,是可能而且也应该与苏联取得一致的,因之一部分设计资料可以采用苏联研究的结果;但木材的构造与土壤,气候,水份等有关,就是有地区性,这种特点一定要加以考虑。而根据新规范设计,能使结结构的工作更接近于实际情况,愈益发挥材料的性能,因此,有必要尽早采用新规范.这就有待于我们自己动手来研究设计数据,其中主要的为持久强度或计算强度问题,但这方面的资料不多,只能作简单的介绍。
