在苏南无锡县前洲公社有两个紧挨着的大队,一个叫西塘,一个叫蒋巷。七十年代初,西塘只有两百元的积累,穷得出名,而蒋巷却有五万元的存款,富得出名。如今,这两个大队倒转了过来。比如一九八三年,西塘队办工业所获利润为四百一十万元,而蒋巷才八万五千元,还不够西塘“零头”。先进的落后了,后进的居上了,这本来是事物发展的正常现象。但这两个大队差距拉得如此之大,不能不引起人们的深思。

However, the gap between these two brigades has been so great that it can not but cause people’s deep thought.
