据中国企业报协会统计,全国现有企业报2000家左右,这些企业报不仅是新闻战线上的一支强大的生力军,而且在全国各类型企业中,为宣传党的方针、政策,加强企业双文明建设,面对面地替广大职工群众排忧解难,都发挥着“大报”所难以取代的作用。然而,改革开放和市场经济体制的确立,使世界变得令人眼花缭乱。企业正在走向市场,作为企业党政部门和职工群众喉舌的企业报,也必然面临着市场的考验,面临着层出不穷的新情况、新挑战和新问题。许多企业报的总编辑,在办报过程中,也必然存在这样或那样的经历。为经营好自己的这块园地,这些老总们在想什么、干什么,心态如何,有什么痛苦和烦恼、思虑和忧愁,有什么希冀和憧憬、企盼和等待?为了让老总们有机会倾诉自己的所喜所忧,所思所想,以增进编者、读者及企业报之间的理解和沟通,我们从本期起开辟一个新栏目——老总信箱,欢迎大家有话想说就说,而且说真话,坦露真实思想。本刊将《企业报老总话苦衷》一文,作为该栏目的开篇,请各位企业报的老总踊跃撰稿。——编者
