80年前,一份闪耀着真理光芒的《红星报》,伴随红军走过二万五千里漫漫征途,成就了中国新闻史上一段不朽的传奇。《红星报》主编邓小平和战友们用两条扁担挑起办报的所有家当,在4年激烈战斗和艰苦行军中,坚持编辑出版了120期,广泛宣传党的政策和红军宗旨,反映红军官兵不怕牺牲、英勇作战的血性豪气,发挥了团结人民群众、鼓舞红军斗志的重要作用。在我党我军历史上,团结人民、鼓舞士气,一直是党的新闻舆论工作的优良传统。
