蚕豆是固氮能力很强的作物,是各种大秋作物的好前茬,在耕作制度的调整、改革中占有非常重要的地位。可是,近些年来,蚕豆不但面积缩小,而且产量低而不稳。如我县1966—1981年十六年间,蚕豆亩产最低年份(1969年)仅77斤,而最高年份(1979年)达到248斤,最高比最低年份亩产高出两倍多。蚕豆产量低而不稳,固然与气候条件有很大关系,但气候不是决定因素。1981年从气候条件来看,是蚕豆的低产年,可是我社从湖南澧县请的农民技术员黄大喜同志,在马口大队种的蚕豆高产田1.263亩,却获
Broad bean is a nitrogen-fixing crop, which is a good precursor to various autumn crops. It occupies a very important position in the adjustment and reform of the farming system.
