This paper conducts a survey on the Chinese curriculum in foreign languages in four universities in Malaysia. The analysis shows that there are two main characteristics of Chinese courses in local universities: one is diversity and unity; the other is openness and closure. At the same time, there are also four major problems: First, the practicality of the curriculum is weak, and the second is that the school hours are too small. Third, the curriculum is out of touch with the training objectives. Fourth, the curriculum lacks a unified teaching syllabus and grade standards. Finally, the article puts forward the suggestion: the course setting and the training objective must be closely combined organically, optimizing the course setting and developing the uniform grade standard. It is the way of using Chinese as a foreign language teaching in Malaysian universities for long-term sustainable development.
