一、“丘未达,不敢尝” 生于春秋时代的孔丘,坚持“三戒”、“四忌”的养生之道,到了老年身体仍很好。强壮的体魄,使他在周游列国中能够克服各种艰难险阻,著书立说,为中华民族创造了宝贵的文化遗产。在他坎坷的一生中,很少与医药打交道,《论语》中仅提及一件事:有一次孔子病了,鲁国的执政者季康子亲自送药上门。孔子急忙施礼称谢,但又面露难色地说:“丘未达,不敢尝。”意思是说:我对这种药的性能不甚了解,不敢轻易吃啊！加以婉言谢绝。由此可见,孔子对服药治病是相当谨慎的。面对本国权势显赫的达官贵人,孔子敢于婉言谢绝,陈述己见,是要有相当大勇气的。当时的医学水平低,不可能对药物作系统研究,孔子能这样做,不能不说是一种科学的态度,很值得今人借鉴。

Confucius quickly hurriedly thanked, but confused and said: “Qiu unscrupulous, can not taste.” The meaning is that: I do not understand the performance of this medicine, not easy to eat! Be politely declined. This shows that Confucius is very cautious about taking medicine. In the face of the dignified and noble people with dignified powers in his own country, it is courageous for Confucius to dare to decline politely and state his own opinion. At that time, the medical level was so low that it was impossible to systematically study the medicine. Confucius could do such a thing. It is a scientific attitude that is worth learning from.
