1993年7月18日,位于渤海湾畔,距唐山市东南95公里处乐亭县王滩镇境内的京唐港,对国际通航了。从此,河北省、唐山市有了国际口岸,北京市有了出海口,它标志着京唐港的建设发展到新的历史阶段,为京唐两市的合作展示了更加广阔的发展前景。 (一) 1992年5月20日,这是个使人难以忘怀的日子。当唐山港经过近三年的紧张建设,即将对国内正式通航的时候,迎来了由十几位北京规划院专家组成的环渤海考察团。他们风尘仆仆从天津和秦皇岛港赶来,此行肩负着为北京市和蒙古国寻找出海口的历史使命。
