四月鲜是河南省濮阳县鲁河新品种果树试验园朱忠来高级农艺师历经8年时间,从早熟桃群中选育出的一个超早熟单株优系新品种。该桃因成熟在农历4月,果面鲜红,故暂定名为四月鲜。它比国内成熟最早的春蕾(无核桃)早熟近1周,麦收前采摘完毕,比早红宝石、曙光油桃、凯特杏早熟20天。四月鲜桃一般单果重150克左右,大果横径7厘米,果大色艳,鲜红亮丽,果毛短小,口感品质远远超过春蕾、早油桃,甜度超过雨花露,完熟时味甜带有蜜香,品质风味在早熟桃中极为少见。
