1937年,以第二次国共合作为基础的抗日民族统一战线形成后,中共中央决定公开设立八路军驻湘通讯处。时任陕甘宁边区教育厅长的徐特立,被委派为八路军总司令部高级参议、驻湘代表。在中共中央秘书处工作的王凌波,被派任八路军驻湘通讯处主任。在短短的三年内,经徐特立及其他同志艰苦卓绝的工作,八路军驻湘通讯处与中共湖南省工委密切配合,为推动湖南人民的抗日斗争作出了卓越的贡献。八路军驻湘通讯处旧址现属湖南省文物保护单位。
In 1937, after the formation of the anti-Japanese national united front based on the second cooperation between the KMT and the CPC, the CPC Central Committee decided to openly set up the Eighth Route Army Communications Office in Hunan. Xu Teli, then director of education in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, was appointed as a senior senator of the Eighth Route Army General Command and on behalf of the Hunan authorities. Wang Lingbo, who works in the secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, was appointed Director of the Eighth Route Army Communications Office in Hunan. In a short period of three years, with the arduous work of Xu Tellai and other comrades, the Eighth Route Army Communications Office in Hunan worked closely with the Hunan Provincial Work Committee of the CPC to make outstanding contributions to promoting the people’s anti-Japanese struggle in Hunan Province. The former site of the Eighth Route Army stationed in Hunan is now a cultural relics protection unit in Hunan Province.
