“湘粳十四号”原名“2030”,是我所用早粳“701”与晚粳“东风5号”杂交育成的一个迟熟晚粳品种。1969年冬杂交,经采用一年两代三代加速选育,于1973年(第六代)定型。在选育过程中,表现丰产性及抗病性均比“农垦58”好。1974年参加全省晚粳联合区域试验,由于当时从海南繁殖的种子运回较迟,比其他供试品种推迟10—20天播种,对产量及成熟期都有一定影响。尽管如此,“湘粳十四号”产量仍然较高,二十九个参试点平均亩产
“Xiangjing 14” formerly known as “2030”, is a late-maturing late-maturing japonica variety that was developed by a cross between early japonica “701” and late japonica “Dongfeng 5”. In the winter of 1969, hybridization was accelerated and adopted in two generations of three generations a year, and was finalized in 1973 (sixth generation). In the breeding process, the performance of high yield and disease resistance are better than “Nongken 58”.
