俄罗斯科学院化学物理研究所的专家发现,矿渣虽无弹性,但如果在混凝土中将炼铁矿里清出来的颗粒状矿渣替代河流中捞起的泥沙,那么混凝土的质量会起显著的变化,它的牢固不受温度影响,且比原有混凝土提高3~5倍。如果在水泥,石子中加入15%~30%的颗粒状矿渣,其混凝土的结合力亦将提高50%~80%,它会最大限度地减少由于碰撞引起的裂缝。用同样的方法,由粘土砂即会膨胀的粘土组成的颗粒材料代替矿渣亦可获得相同的效果。
An expert from the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences discovered that although the slag is not flexible, if the granular slag from the iron ore is replaced in the concrete instead of the sediment recovered from the river, the quality of the concrete will change significantly. Its firmness is not affected by temperature and it is 3 to 5 times better than the original concrete. If you add 15% to 30% of granular slag to cement or stone, the bonding strength of the concrete will also increase by 50% to 80%. It will minimize cracks caused by collisions. In the same way, the same effect can be obtained by replacing the slag with a granular material consisting of clay sand, i.e., expanded clay.
