寿山石雕艺人众多,擅长的题材也各有不同,最常见的除了罗汉、观音、古兽等仙佛题材,就是艺术家乐于表现的刘海戏蟾、贵妃醉酒等传说。但以现实人物为范本的雕刻题材却较为少见,普通市民的日常生活更是因难以操作而成为多数雕刻家棘手的题材。雕刻艺术家、工艺美术师林国华却从平民百姓的视角出发,创作出了一大批反映百姓“油盐酱醋”等普通生活的寿山石雕佳作,用诚心、用行动较好地诠释了艺术创作“源于生活,高于生活”的法则。
