The connotation of cultivation is quite extensive, with theoretical cultivation, professional knowledge cultivation, ideological and moral cultivation and so on. Here, I focus on talking with young cadres on the cultivation of ideological and moral standards under the new situation. Talking about ideological and moral cultivation, we can not but think of the influence of “morality,” “virtue,” and “self-cultivation” in the traditional Chinese culture.
