Previous studies have shown that Smilacis chinae rhizomes (SCRs) have neuroprotective effects on amyloid-beta-induced cultured rat cortical neurons in vitro in vitro. The following in vitro and in vivo studies were performed to further verify the neuroprotective effect of SCR on cerebral ischemia induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rats. The effects of SCR on N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) Induction of cultured rat cortical nerves
