One of the important roles of education is to give its participants the productivity they need in the labor market and, as a primary measure of economic output, income naturally becomes a key factor in evaluating education outcomes. However, more and more studies find that the increase of cognitive ability caused by education seems to be over-estimated for the explanation of income, whereas the unrecognized ability, which has not been valued in the past, affects individuals in the labor market The performance plays an important role can not be ignored. Through the review and conclusion of related literatures, this research finds that non-cognitive ability is an important explanatory variable of income and affects many performance in the labor market at the same time. It is worth further studying to establish a common and extensive research framework.
