Japan has philosophy, whose representative is none other than non-Westfield philosophy. Jiro Nishida published the debut novel “A Study of Goodness” in 1991, and published the philosophy forum. In 1962, he published an important essay “Place,” announcing the birth of “Nishida Philosophy.” The establishment of Nishida philosophy not only marked the beginning of modern Japanese philosophy, but also profoundly influenced the development of modern Japanese philosophy. This is also the first time that this journal has introduced the philosophy of Japanese philosophy, namely, Nishida’s philosophy, in the form of a column. Due to the limited space, the original “place” of Nishida translated here is only the first section of the thesis (the original is 5 sections), and there are limited research papers on translation. As the research paper shows, “place” is a reflection from the fundamental point, which is the beginning of the logic of Nishida’s thought and also the signpost of its maturity. While Nishida’s philosophy is both philosophical and religious, As a link, to unify philosophy and religion. Nishida’s philosophy is modern because Nishida’s awareness of the issues and modes of thinking he holds in philosophy transcends Japan and synchronizes with the masters of modern Western philosophy. Therefore, in the more than half a century since his death, his philosophy remains the supreme representative of contemporary Japanese philosophy and still dominates the future direction of Japanese philosophy. Therefore, I think that to understand Japanese philosophy, it is necessary to begin with Nishida’s philosophy
