The June 1957 issue of the Mathematics Bulletin, “Elementary Mapping Problems,” states that Stacey has proved that elementary drafting questions, except for the first and end of the compass, require only a ruler to be used. The article then adds this result. A step was advanced to propose that under the conditions of the public method - application, a drawing question that can be made with a compass ruler can be made. This article attempts to push the latter result further, so that the public law described in the article does not apply. Substituting a weaker law of two, it can be shown that the initial drafting question (that is, a drawing question that can be made with a compass ruler) can still be made under the new public law.
