通过考证，认为《本草纲目》中“金丝草”即是旋花科植物菟丝（ＣｕｓｃｕｔａｃｈｉｎｅｎｓｉｓＬａｍ．）或大菟丝（Ｃ．ｊａｐｏｎｉｃａＣｈｏｉｓｙ）带花果的全草。
According to the research, it is believed that in the “Compendium of Materia Medica”, “The gold grass” is the whole plant that carries the flowers and fruits of Cuscutachinensis Lam. or C. japonica Choisy.
