职业院校要实现多领域、多层次的课程目标,关键是建立一种与之相适应的课程结构体系。这种结构要满足不同层次、不同水平、不同兴趣学生的需要,必须具备多样性、开放性、灵活性和多层次的特征。为了适应这种职业院校体育课程改革的现实和发展,必须严格贯彻《指导纲要》和《意见》的要求,职业院校要按照国家规定的公共体育课程设置标准,开齐开足上好体育课。在大课程结构体系下,学生应具有选择课程内容、选择任课教师、选择上课时间的自由度。“以人为本”的教育理念在新《纲要》中得到了充分的体现,这为职业院校体育课程结构改革提出了新的课题,但同时又为职业院校体育提供了一个广阔的发展空间。
