Althus Daudt is a distinctive critical realist in the history of French literature in the nineteenth century. He was born on May 13, 1840, in a dilapidated silk merchant family in Nimes, Provence, southern France. From the publication of the first poem “Infatuation Woman” in 1858 to the completion of the novel “The Story of Winter” in 1896, he has created thirteen novels in his nearly 40-year literary career, Four short stories, as well as some drama and poetry. Three of the pieces are particularly noteworthy. One is a collection of short stories published in 1866, “Mill Wenzha.” A collection of short stories in this collection is based on the colorful and poetic daily life of Provence
