钻探设备轻便化是广大钻探工人多年来的深切愿望。1970年，国家计委地质局下达给我厂设计、制造200/40螺杆泥浆泵的任务。几年来，我们遵照毛主席“独立自主、自力更生”的教导，与鞍钢地质勘探公司、河北省地质局三队、北京宣武区橡胶三厂、河南地质三队等兄弟单位共同协作，坚持大搞内外“三结合”，四年多来四次修改设计，进行了四次野外队生产性试验，终于使螺杆泵初步达到了设计性能。1974年10月7日—12日，国家计委地质局在鞍山市召开了鉴定会议，认为该泵具有体积小、重量轻、结构简单、性能稳定、机械事故少、安装搬迁方便、易于维护保养、造价低等特点；可以与600米以下的地质勘探岩心钻机配套
