该品种是我所1980年从美国引进的甜咔嚓豌豆中选台出来的,经几年试种表明,该品种具有结荚多,荚壁肥厚多计、纤维极少,町带荚食用。营养价值高,易烹凋,既可凉拌又可炒食,是制作快餐,冷冻加工的好蔬菜。1985年经专家,外贸及生产单位品尝和鉴评认为:其品质显著超过了国内其它食荚豌豆,获得了“甜、香、脆、嫩、绿”五字评价。1986年在市场上受到了消费者和高级饭店的欢迎。由于该品种采荚期比四季豆早、产量高(秋播亩产750公斤,春播可达500公斤)采荚后的茎秆又是优质饲料和绿肥,可作多用作物推广。
The variety is selected from the sweet Kacha peas imported from the United States in 1980.
