唐山市丰南区地处渤海之滨,西部、西南部有低洼盐碱地37万亩,由于土壤粘重,地势低洼,排水不畅,严重影响了林木的成活和成长,制约了当地生态环境的改善。为此,丰南区林业局从1995年开始在该地区大力推广了水、田、林、渠、路综合治理的深渠河网绿化模式,治理低洼地10万亩,栽植树木160万株,成活率达到92%以上,林木覆盖率提高了近4个百分点。
