使用涂层硬质合金刀具出问题的原因很多,有些是属于冶金方面的,有些则是属于使用方面的。在过去10年中,涂层刀具已成为硬质合金工业的一个重要组成部分。由于涂层只有10微米厚,涂层刀具可能出现的问题也多种多样。当涂层刀具以其最佳性能工作时,切削条件超过了非涂层刀具一般使用范围(图1)。当涂层被磨穿时,就会很快导致刀具损坏。为此作到能预报涂层出问题的时间,将是极其重要的。为了对问题进行准确的分析,首先必须决定损坏的机理。在各种可能的因素中包括:
There are many reasons for using a coated carbide tool, some of which are metallurgical and some of which are for use. Over the past 10 years, coated tools have become an important part of the cemented carbide industry. As the coating is only 10 microns thick, there are a variety of issues that can occur with coated tools. When the coated tool works at its optimum performance, the cutting conditions exceed the normal range of uncoated tools (Fig. 1). When the coating is worn, it will quickly lead to tool damage. It will be extremely important for us to predict when the coating will go wrong. In order to accurately analyze the problem, we must first determine the mechanism of damage. Among various possible factors are:
