Objective To identify the etiology of an outbreak of bacterial foodborne diseases and provide a scientific basis for the handling of public health emergencies. Methods According to GB / T4789-2008, pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella were detected. Results Seven Salmonella strains were detected in 12 samples and the detection rate was 58.33%. Three Salmonella paratyphi A and two Salmonella paratyphi strains were detected in 5 samples of anal swabs. 1 strain of Salmonella in infants; 1 strain of Salmonella paratyphi A was detected in tableware samples; and no pathogens were detected in the remaining samples. Conclusions The outbreak of foodborne illness was caused by food or tableware contaminated by Salmonella paratyphi C or Salmonella paratyphi by mealmakers.
