馆情概况东莞位于中国广东省珠江三角洲,毗邻香港、深圳、广州,综合经济实力现居全国大中城市前列。东莞图书馆新馆2005年9月28日正式向市民开放,建筑面积44654平方米,内设大陆首家漫画图书馆、全国首家自助图书馆、全国首家粤剧图书馆、衣食住行图书馆、IT图书馆、东莞书屋、台湾书屋等多个馆中馆。另在莞城区设有建筑面积为9000余平方米的少年儿童图书馆,有玩具图书馆、亲子乐园、成长书屋、老人图书馆、自助图书馆、粤剧图书馆、阅读服务站等
General situation Dongguan is located in the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province, China, adjacent to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, the comprehensive economic strength ranks in the forefront of large and medium-sized cities in the country. The new Dongguan Library opened on September 28, 2005 with a building area of 44,654 square meters. It houses the first comic library in mainland China, the first self-service library in China, the first Cantonese opera library, the basic necessities library, IT Library, Dongguan Bookstore, Taiwan Bookstore and many other Museum Hall.
