据报载,北京大学化学系与物理系的科研人员,在1991年7月9日成功合成掺钾碳60的超导材料后,经过半个月的努力,又于7月23日成功地合成了掺铷碳60超导材料。经中科院物理所国家超导重点实验室交流磁化率测试,新合成的掺铷碳60超导材料的超导起始温度为28K,同时北大物理系电子顺磁共振实验室微波吸收测试证实了掺铷碳60材料的超导性,所测超导起始转变温度为29K。与目前世界掺铷碳60超导材料研究(起始温度为30K)处同一水平。
