改革开放以来,我国在经济建设、政治民主建设和精神文明建设取得巨大成就的同时,由于历史和现实的双重因素,腐败现象也时有发生。江泽民深刻地论述了腐败现象产生的历史原因和现实原因,把反腐败斗争提高到了党和国家生死存亡的高度,提出了教育是关键、法制是保证、监督是关键,以及标本兼治等系统的反腐败思想,不但将现实反腐败斗争和党风廉政建设引向了深入,也创新了党的反腐败斗争理论和党风廉政建设理论。
