Homo erectus pekinensis has been discovered for more than half a century, and its academic significance has attracted the attention of Chinese and foreigners. From 1978 to 1980, a comprehensive study of the Peking Man Site was conducted. As one of the participants and organizers of this project, , It is possible to report some of the results of stratigraphy and environmental studies.Study on the formation of ape cave and its age The latest research revealed that there are 17 layers of ape cave and a total thickness of 47.03 meters. The lowest 16.17 layers are in the narrow Of the vertical caves deposited in the creek and infiltrated by hydrostatic sediments below the karst groundwater and later the groundwater level dropped, leaving the top of the 16th floor eroded leaving a noticeable erosion surface.
