Since no new case of bird flu has been detected since 28 April, Belgium has decided to resume the export of poultry and related products. On May 16, the EU’s Food Chain and Animal Health Standing Committee decided that Belgium should resume the export of poultry products if no new cases of bird flu were found before May 26. Antwerp Province in the north of Belgium and Limburg Province in the east are the areas where avian influenza is endemic
