时光的脚步刚刚迈入2006年,八闽大地就已是春意盎然。就在这个新世纪、新阶段、新起点、新征程起步的春天里,中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席胡锦涛同志,亲临海峡西岸这片生机勃勃的热土。亲切的关怀,殷切的教诲,让3500万福建人民倍受鼓舞。 1月12日至16日,五天时间里,胡锦涛总书记先后视察了连城、永安、厦门、福州等地。他下田间、访农户、进企业、入社区,看望劳模、问候台商,亲身感受八闽大地发生的巨大变化,也把和蔼可亲、平易近人的形象永远留在了福建人民心中。他寄语福建干部群众：一定要切实抓好和用好国家继续鼓励东部地区率先发展、支持海峡西岸经济发展的重大历史机遇,进一步理顺发展思路、凝聚发展力量、破解发展难题、增创发展优势,不断把改革开放和现代化建设推向前进。
