“2000年要成为中国科协建‘家’之年,要把这一问题突出地提到科协全体同志面前,以便能够使我们取得共识,并且切实地落实。”这句话是中国科协副主席、书记处第一书记、党组书记张玉台同志于1999年11月12日在地方科协工作座谈会上郑重提出来的。此前,中国科协主席周光召、中国科协书记处书记徐善衍等领导同志在福建、江西、河北等地视察地方科协工作中也曾再三强调了建“家”工作的重要性。在新的一年里,建“家”将成为科协工作的重头戏已凸显出来。从张玉台同志的上述讲话中,我们理解至少有这三层意思:一是要提高思想,统一认识,要求科协的各级领导和全体科协工作者在建“家”问题上要有全面的而不是局部的、深层的而不是肤浅的、与实践紧密结合的而不是游移的认识。思想的统一,认识的深化,将会带来建“家”工作的新变化。二是明确目标,主攻重点。各级科协组织在即将跨入21世纪之际,都会根据当地的情况有自己的宏图大计,这自然是好事,但就科协整体而言,无疑应将建“家”置于首位,这是中国科协向全体科协工作者提出的一项突出的重要任务。各级科协组织特
