The seeds of Paulownia tomentosa are wrapped in gauze, soaked in 0.1% mercuric chloride solution for 10 minutes and then rinsed 3-5 times with sterile water. Sterile seeds were seeded on MS + 3% sucrose medium under aseptic conditions. Cotyledons were excised one week after seed germination.
